Abstract: The relevance of studied problem is determined by the fact that in a multiethnic country the problem of the ethno-cultural specificity of different groups of people is extremely severe, and the activity of the processes of intercultural communications in the modern world requires knowledge and understanding of other cultures. The aim of the article lies in justification of the necessity of information support of the process of adaptation of foreign citizens coming to Russia with business, educational or tourism purposes. A leading approach to the study of this problem is practice-oriented approach to creating conditions for social and cultural adaptation of foreign citizens in Russia. The following results were obtained in the results of the study: the necessity of developing theoretical and practical foundations of resource and information support for foreigners from abroad who plan to visit Russia was proved; authors’ vision of scientific bases of formation of the target resource and information content was outlined; the project of creating such content was presented. The article materials can be useful for researches in the field of pedagogy and teaching Russian as a foreign language, teachers, postgraduate students, undergraduates and students of a direction "pedagogical education". © 2016 Dorozhkin et al.
