Abstract: The urgency of the analyzed problem is due to the dynamic development of the market, which requires businesses to establish long-term trust relationships, levels of internal hierarchy, to emphasize their core competencies and to build alliances with independent suppliers or distributors throughout the market chain, which is typical for the network business method. The purpose of the article is to examine the phenomenon of network organization in logistics and the development of the theory and methodology of formation of logistic networks in modern conditions. The leading method in the study of this problem is the theoretical method allowing objectively and comprehensively investigate the conceptual provisions of the network in logistics. The main results of the study include refinement of categorical tools of logistics by providing the author's interpretation of network forms of logistics and the formation of methodological approaches to the scenario creating a logistics network. The materials can be useful for scientists researching aspects of the development of logistics and its forms in modern conditions as well as for practitioners in the field of logistics while developing logistics networks. © International Economic Society.
